Hello, it’s me, The Blog Complainer. I wanted to make another one of these update posts because I want to discuss a very important post coming up in a few days as you’ll be very much involved in the making of it. The other thing is, as you can tell on the thumbnail, I want to discuss certain pieces of media that hit the net a few days back, but first the big announcement.
I started writing blogs back in late February of last year and I didn’t boot up The Blog Complainer until three months later. So on May the 6th 2018 I released my first ever review. What is funny is that I made a WordPress account and created just the template on May the 4th aka Star Wars Day. To avoid confusion I changed it to the sixth, which ironically is Revenge of the Sixth.
Almost a fortnight ago I put a post on Facebook and Twitter saying I would do a Q&A. I was told from my Sunshine Blogger Post that people like how I present my answers and I enjoy creating them so I thought why not do it again. It’s very simple, if you have got a question I’ll feature it in this upcoming post. That’s my big plan for turning one, can’t wait to create it.
I don’t really have any other big plans to reveal at the moment. I’m always coming up with new ideas to put on the site, but what they are is confidential because that’ll ruin the surprise. Oh by the way, almost forgot, Detective Pikachu is on the list of movies I want to see, as well as another movie I’ll get to later.
Game of Thrones Season 8, my current thoughts. I had decided before the season started to wait and do one grand final review. (Though this week’s episode nearly made me break my vow.) I enjoyed the the first two episodes as they were a pretty good reminder of the first four seasons and why I loved them so much. I even tweeted about how pleased I was.
Then episode 3 happened and it reminded me of how much this show sucks now. I did enjoy some aspects of this episode as I was impressed with some of the feats they pulled off, but the really stupid moments had to poke it’s ugly head out and ruin everything!
That’s all I’m going to say for now and I’ll remain optimistic for the last three episodes.
I don’t normally do this, but a friend of mine convinced me to watch the new Sonic the Hedgehog trailer and it’s the most amazing thing I have ever seen!
Sonic the Hedgehog has never been a character I have been overly invested in. I have only played Sonic Heroes on PlayStation 2 when I was kid and I didn’t like it because I sucked at it. The rest of my history with Sonic is watching people online laugh at how big of a laughing stock Sonic and his fan community are. I had no expectations for this movie until I watched the trailer.
The trailer is complete garbage. It’s looks terribly cheap, it has this very corny feel, the bizarre choice of having Jim Carey as Dr Robotnik and there a no words to describe the character design of Sonic!! Who thought it would be a good idea to release a trailer of this monstrosity? Though I am glad they did because now I want to see the inevitable train crash this will be. I was laughing all the way through this thing as it perfectly captures how I view Sonic.
I’m glad that the creators responded to the massive backlash, though I do kind of like this design as I view it in the same way as the Genie from that new Aladdin movie. As it’s baffling to me that these clueless out of touch studios thought that this was the best design they could come up with. Overall Sonic the Hedgehog is my most anticipated movie of 2019 and I recommend checking this masterpiece out for yourself.
Leave your questions down below if you want me to answer them in the first anniversary post and until then I have been The Blog Complainer signing out.
